Ms. Gray has a combined 20 plus years of operations and financial management experience with emerging high growth companies. Ms. Gray began her career with Consensus Orthopedics in August, 2004.
Before joining Consensus Orthopedics, Ms. Gray was President and Chief Executive Officer at Solid Data Systems. Prior to Solid Data, Ms. Gray was a co-founder of StorageWay, Inc. and served as its Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer through July of 2002. Ms. Gray was the Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Mylex Corporation during IBM’s acquisition of Mylex in 1999. During her career, Ms. Gray has been involved in pioneering new and innovative technologies in the business industry.
Ms. Gray received a Bachelors of Science degree in Accounting from Arizona State University.
Mr. Wiedenhoefer has been Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Consensus Orthopedics beginning January 2004. Mr. Wiedenhoefer has over 20 years of sales and marketing management experience in the orthopedic industry.
In 1986, Mr. Wiedenhoefer started his career in outside sales with Smith & Nephew selling orthopedic implants. In 1993, he was recruited by DePuy Orthopedics to manage the sales for one of the largest distribution offices in the United States. While at Depuy, he was selected to sit on the “Trauma Product Advisory Board” consulting on product development projects in the trauma area as well as on competitive products. In 1997, Mr. Wiedenhoefer founded Eisenlohr Technologies, Inc. and became CEO and VP of Sales and was involved in developing, manufacturing and selling orthopedic accessory products worldwide, specializing in the image analysis market.
Mr. Wiedenhoefer has been awarded three U.S. patents related to the field of orthopedics. Mr. Wiedenhoefer received a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Marketing from California Polytechnic State University in 1986.
Paul Rugg joined Consensus Orthopedics in October of 2009 and brings over 27 years of successful supply chain and manufacturing operations management.
Over the last 20 years, Paul has been a Fortune 500 executive with companies such as IBM and Electronic Arts, as well as in privately held start up environments. His experience transitioning organizations to the next level of growth utilizing best of class business practices and productivity tools has resulted in net savings exceeding $250 million throughout his career.
Paul’s insight and global experience in multi-plant management of personnel, material sciences, alternate manufacturing and supply chain strategies provides strategic leadership for the current and future growth of Consensus.
Ms. Hayes joined Consensus Orthopedics in 1995 as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. Along with her General Counsel duties, Ms. Hayes was recently named Vice President of Human Resources.
Ms. Hayes served as Senior Corporate Counsel for ALZA Corporation, a pharmaceutical and drug delivery technology company and subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson; and as Corporate Counsel for Integrated Device Technology, a semi-conductor company in the Silicon Valley. Ms. Hayes gained products liability defense work experience as an Associate at the law firm of Gordon & Rees in its San Francisco based medical products liability defense group.
Ms. Hayes earned a BS with honors in mathematics from Duke University in 1987 and spent two years as a research assistant at Duke University’s Cancer Center working to get FDA approval for various cancer therapies. She earned a JD cum laude from the University of San Diego School of Law in 1993.
Steve Gage joined Consensus Orthopedics in 2004 and brings 30 years of O.R. and orthopedic sales experience.
Mr. Gage began his career as an athletic trainer at the University of San Francisco. He quickly transitioned into the operating room at Mercy Hospital in Sacramento, CA where he spent 11 years. Moving into sales in 1989, he became an orthopedic implant sales representative for Richards and Depuy. He co-founded, with Curt Wiedenhoefer, Eisenlohr Technologies, Inc. in 1997, designing and manufacturing medical imaging systems.
Mr. Gage’s clinical history in surgery and orthopedic sales has made him a technical and clinical expert in surgical techniques and clinical protocols. Mr. Gage coordinates training of instrumentation and implant techniques with surgeons and the training of implant systems and operating room credentialing of Consensus Orthopedics’ representatives and distributors.
Dr. Creel joined Consensus Orthopedics in May of 2008 with a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from UC Davis. Providing an excellent segue into the field of orthopedics, Dr. Creel’s doctoral research focused on fracture mechanics of cortical bone.
Beginning his orthopedic career as a product engineer with Consensus Orthopedics, Dr. Creel previously held positions of increasing levels of responsibility in the areas of research and development, strategic product development and product marketing. In his current role, Dr. Creel leads the Engineering and R&D departments in the strategic development of current and new product lines. Dr. Creel also functions as a product marketing resource for surgeons and sales representatives.
Dr. Creel is published in the Journal of the Mechanical Behavior of Biomedical Materials, has presented research at the 2008 UC Bioengineering Symposium and was accepted for presentation at ORS 2010.
Before U.C. Davis, Dr. Creel attended California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo where he earned a Bachelors of Science in Materials Engineering.
Mr. Droege joined Consensus in December of 2011. Mr. Droege is responsible for global marketing and branding of Consensus Orthopedics as well as global business opportunities.
Mr. Droege has over 15 years of medical device industry experience in marketing and sales. Most recently he was the General Manager/Co-founder of American Surgeons International, Inc. He successfully demonstrated a talent for international relationship building, global product positioning, contract negotiations, and strategic sales planning. Before founding ASI, Mr. Droege was the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for SOI, Inc advancing the company’s corporate vision and branding on both a domestic and international front. Prior to SOI, as Marketing Communications Manager at DJO, Mr. Droege directed a marketing team responsible for global corporate marketing campaigns.
Mr. Droege holds a B.A. in Communications from the University of South Carolina. He is a current member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
Mr. Hull joined Consensus in May of 2010 and is responsible for regulatory submissions and compliance as well as quality system management. Mr. Hull has over 20 years of medical device industry experience in regulatory affairs, compliance and quality management. Most recently he was with international orthopedic manufacturer Aesculap Implant Systems, LLC where he served as their Manager of Regulatory Affairs. Prior to Aesculap he has been in regulatory and quality roles with device firms such as Synthes, Steris, and Gambro.
Mr. Hull earned the Regulatory Affairs Certified (RAC) from the Regulatory Affairs Professionals Society (RAPS) in 1996 and was previously recognized as a Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) by the American Society for Quality (ASQ). He is an active member of the American Society for Test Methods (ASTM) as well as serving as the Consensus representative to AdvaMed’s Orthopedic Sector Working Group and the Orthopedic Surgical Manufacturers Association (OSMA).
A native to Ohio, Mr. Hull holds a B.S. in General Engineering from the United States Military Academy and an MBA in Management from DeSales University. He served almost 10 years in the US Army and US Army Reserve reaching the rank of Captain. Mr. Hull currently resides in Sacramento, California.
Mr. Morancy joined Consensus in September of 2011. Mr. Morancy is responsible for creating and supporting distribution and sales efforts across the United States.
Mr. Morancy joins Consensus with over 30 years of Orthopedic experience. He began his orthopedic career in 1979 with Wright Medical as a Distributor. From there he moved to Smith & Nephew where he was tasked with revamping S&N’s Sales Training Program. His exceptional talent at recognizing and developing a company’s sales and support systems landed him as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for United Orthopedic Corporation. As a proven team leader, Mr. Morancy helped introduce the U2 knee system in the United States. Developing a talent for successful product marketing and technical support, Mr. Morancy moved to Endotec, Inc. in 2010 and was Vice President of Global Sales and marketing for their BP knee system. He achieved both sales expansion and increased market share while leading the BP knee team.
Mr. Morancy holds an Associates of Science Degree, Mechanical Engineering, 1975-77.
