This month we talked with Customer Service Manager, Tonya Baca. With a passion for relationship building and working with products that improve the quality of life, we uncovered why she loves working in the medical device industry and some of her favorite things about Consensus.
My hometown is Rancho Cordova, CA.
What is your role at Consensus?
I am the Customer Service Manager here at Consensus.
How long have you been with Consensus?
I have been with Consensus for five years now.
What is your favorite thing about your job?
My favorite thing about my job is getting to build relationships with our reps in the field. I also love that I get to work alongside some of the hardest working people I have ever met.
What has been your favorite project since you started working here?
My favorite project that I have worked on would be cleaning up the field inventory and working to keep our inventory controlled.
What has been one of your proudest moments working at Consensus?
My proudest moment at Consensus was when I was promoted. I started off working in the warehouse and I have since been promoted twice, with room for even more growth.
What is your favorite thing about working in the orthopedic industry?
My favorite thing about working in the orthopedic industry is knowing that at the end of the day my efforts have helped someone’s health and possibly minimized their pain. Having a hand in helping patients walk better is incredibly rewarding.
What do you like to do when you’re not working?
When I’m not working, I like to spend time with my kids and watch them do the things they love to do.
